Front of car creaks when going over speed bumps?

I have a 2000 Saturn LS2. My car was fine the last time I drove it. However today when going over some speed bumps I heard a very loud creaking sound in the front of my car only. I should note that we just had a severe dip in temps. Its in the 20's here and in the teens in over night. Could this just be the cold or could it be something worse??
