Looking for anime with war in it?

i dont realy care what type of war but not mid-evil war unless it is one hell of a epic anime. and i want it to have a male lead. it can be a modern day war a futuristic war that i dont care about. war with mankind fighting an alien race heck it can be man kind vs a army of supper powers midgets riding ducks to war wile playing the banjo i dont care alk i want to see if guns explosions death and somewhat of a good story but yes the artwork dose matter. so anyone know?
