How do i take this?

I just started seeing someone a little over a week or so ago and we've pretty much been inseparable since. One of those things were you have an instant connection. He treats me great and everything seems to be going great. Well, sat night he said something that made me a little uneasy. We were out drinking and he was talking about how he's going to be traveling alot for work. So, kinda jokingly i said, don't forget about me when your gone. And he started talking about titles, he was saying when he's home i'm the one he wants to hang out with and see, but something about not having titles and how if it's his mom or something he'd be like, yeah, that's my girlfriend. I don't remember exactly how he said everything since we were drinking. But, what does this mean? Not that I was looking to put a title on us right away, but where did that come from? I guess I'm just freaking out a little b/c I had a wall up that he easily broke down and now i'm scared of being hurt. How do i take this?
