Is geology a useful college major?

I am very interested in physics, math, and computer science but my main pion in life has always been the natural world-- rocks and minerals, volcanoes, and whatnot. I want to have a job that lets me study nature, travel all over the world, and do a lot of field work. I don't want to spend that much time indoors. I would also love to spend some time living in Antarctica, the African tundra, and the Australian outback. Would majoring in geology or geophysics in college offer me these sorts of opportunities?
