My psp is cracking??????????????????????…

my psp 1000 is old, it had a crack on it under the select on, that crack, for a while, remained where it was and didn't get any worse, not the crack is SPREADING, the crack is spreading onto the screen, on the screen, the crack is under the screen, but under the select on, its outside, i put tape over the screen, but i dont think that will help stop the crack from spreading, i dont see any reason why it should spread, i mean, i dropped my psp a couple of times, but psp 1000 series is the phat version and its the toughest model of psp out there, i have dropped my psp numerous times and it still works, so since i saw the crack spreading, i have been handling it more gently, but the crack is still spreading, i dropped my psp into a dust bunny once, maybe something is happening on a microscopic level and i dont even know it? someone tell, has anything like this ever happened to you before? because if it breaks and doesnt work anymore, my brother isnt buying me a new one, im 12 years old and my brother is 26
