Odd weanling behavior- sticks tongue out side of mouth to lick?

when a horse displays this bahavious it usually means they are investigating the *strange beast* but if it becomes repetitious as above it may mean that he A thinks the tractor is a companion but you won't have to worry about that (good luck with the to be companion=) or he really really likes it. my little gelding loves this orange whitches hat and litrally takes it with him EVERY where in his paddock he is very young and may just be the curious foal that all foals are. if he he starts to try and wind suck you tractor you may need to remove it before this habbit sets in. good luck it doesn't sound like anthing to major :)
