Need some advice for relationship?

ive been with this particual girl for six mths now the only problem with the relationship is that all of her exes are still around. We are both bi but prefer women. She hangs out with her ex boyfriend about 3 times a week ( he is an old man compared to us). She also keeps in contact with her ex gf because of her relationship with the kids. (that doesnt bother me but the ex bf does) I feel like this is putting a strain on our relationship because while he knows we are together, she acts different when he is around towards me. when I ask her why she says its because hes manic deppressive and she doesnt want to provoke any manic behavior ( he would love to be with her again btw. ) On occasion we have hung out together, much to my dismay because we cant be the way we are when we are not around him. Am I wrong for feeling like this is something that is unusual or that he shoudnt be so involved. Also, I feel like if they do continue their friendship that hes just going to have to get used to me being with her and if he cant handle it emotionally then it is his problem. Also she hides the fact we spend so much time together because he starts to become jealous. I know there is nothin going on but im getting fed up...any advice
